Privacy

The site has no forms to fill in online. If you message, email or phone us, we use your details only to reply. If you email us a group order form, we use it only to fill your order.

Pre-orders and gift cards go through our online store, which Square runs on its own site under its own privacy policy.

We count visits so we know which pages are useful. The counts come from Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn't identify you. For each visit it records the page, the site you came from, your general location (country, region and city), and your type of device and browser. It tells one visitor from another with a code that is thrown away after 24 hours, so nothing links your visits over time. We only ever see the totals, and they're kept for up to a year.

This site doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. The map on our Visit page comes from Google Maps, and Google may set its own cookies when it loads.

The site is hosted on Vercel by OBdesign, the Salt Spring and Victoria web studio that built it. Neither of us sells or shares your information.

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Just email daves@davesbakery.ca.
